Chem-Dry’s Gruelling Kilimanjaro Challenge

In a bid to raise a substantial amount of cash for our Charity of the Year 2010/11 - Asthma UK - Chem-Dry has decided to take on the Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking Challenge next March 2011.

A team of Chem-Dry franchisees, employees and individuals from Private Equity Company LDC will climb 5,895 metres over 6 gruelling days, and will battle against extreme weather conditions and dangerously high altitudes in an attempt to reach the summit of the world's tallest freestanding mountain.

Fitness and experience amongst the participants varies widely; from the experienced trekker and mountain climber to the 'never stepped foot in the gym'-types, however all participants are eager to step up to the challenge in aid of Asthma UK and have already started a tough training programme as part of their preparation.

The Chem-Dry and Asthma UK Partnership

Chem-Dry and Asthma UK began their partnership earlier this year. The Chem-Dry business looked at a number of charity organisations before approaching Asthma UK on the basis of the great synergy between the associated health benefits of Chem-Dry's cleaning services and processes and Asthma UK's aims and objectives in supporting those affected by asthma.

On behalf of Asthma UK, Chem-Dry would like to thank you in advance for your kind support.
